Gimmie land Pre-Primary
The pre-primary school has grown from 6 children in 2010 to the current 44 children in 2014. Engela Robberts joined us in 2010, Betsie Button in 2014 and this year Suane Vermaak was added to the team of devoted teachers.
Our vision is to prepare the children for higher education through play. We follow a programme which develops their Gross and fine motoric coordination, visual and auditory perspective as well as developing their body image.
There is also a bi-weekly theme where we teach them more about their environment. Through this we arrange outings, odds and ends and art. Our pupils also take part in school athletics where they run 60 metres for fun.
In 2016 we hosted our very first todler atheletics with a sircus theme. It was so much fun, that we decided to repeat it this year on the 10th of March. Another highlight on our calender is Grandparents day. We kickstart this day with a concert whereafter we enjoy each others company for the remainder of the day.
At the end of each academic year we present a Christmas Concert, which is always a highlight of the year.
We are currently busy upgrading the entire pre-primary school. We want to create a fairy land for the little ones.
At Gimmie land we learn through play!
